About the club
A Croydon story,
rooted in Bahia.
Capoeira Club Croydon was created by Professora Caline Cezimbra ("Areia") to share a piece of Brazil with South London. a welcoming community where kids, women and complete beginners can experience Afro-Brazilian culture in its full form.
We are proudly part of the wider Capoeira Club family founded by Master Hiram Ribeiro in 2012. carrying the same lineage, technique and living tradition, taught with care in Croydon and Brockley Rise.
"We don't teach choreography. We teach a way of moving, listening and playing with the world. together."
